CIPD to investigate employee engagement
Survey will allow firms to assess their staff reward and benefit strategies for the year ahead and give them a greater understanding of issues such as employee engagement
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has moved the date of its annual Reward Conference. Usually held in February, the meeting will take place on May 25th and 26th in 2011 to better meet the needs of attendees, while it will be hosted at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel in central London.
In addition, the CIPD's Reward Management survey will be carried out in the first quarter of 2011 and its findings presented at the event.
CIPD reward advisor Charles Cotton commented: "We plan to delve into the heart of reward issues, discovering how organisations use and develop reward packages - including the value of bonus schemes and the real impact still being felt by organisations recovering from the difficult economic climate."
He added that the findings of the survey will allow firms to assess their staff reward and benefit strategies for the year ahead and give them a greater understanding of issues such as employee engagement
Earlier this month, CIPD organisation development and engagement adviser Angela Baron called on firms to place a greater emphasis on performance management to improve their employee engagement records.
