They are making a big noise at Thunderhead
Thunderhead, a leading provider of customer communications management solutions, today announces revenues of $40 million in 2010, representing a significant 40 percent increase from 2009.
This has been driven by an expansion of Thunderhead’s business in North America, Europe and APAC and the successful development of new industry sectors. Demand for Thunderhead’s NOW enterprise communications platform - which optimiSes customer communications to provide the best possible customer experience – was particularly strong across North America, which accounted for almost half of the total revenue in 2010.
Interest in Thunderhead’s customer communications management technology continues to grow within the insurance, financial services and government sectors, and the company’s solutions for capital markets have extended into commodity and energy trading. Thunderhead was designed to meet the demanding requirements of these regulated markets for enterprise class solutions that can handle complex and highly personalized multi-channel communications.
Glen Manchester, CEO at Thunderhead, said: “Becoming customer-centric is an increasingly important objective for organizations in all sectors. Social media and mobile internet are radically changing the nature of customer communications, as well as increasing competition by enabling new business models. As a leader in multi-channel customer experience technology, this inflection point in the market presents significant expansion opportunities for Thunderhead. In 2011 we are continuing to invest in innovation, developing new technology that builds on our expertise to create new market opportunities for the company as well as broaden our reach into existing markets.”
Thunderhead’s aggressive growth plans in 2011 and beyond will be supported by continuing partnerships with leading organizations across a range of industries including Accenture, Cap Gemini, IBM, Sapient Global Markets, and Tata Consultancy Services. These partnerships allow Thunderhead to leverage complementary technologies and established relationships in specific markets and geographies.
Thunderhead’s technology was endorsed by leading analyst firm Gartner Group in 2010, who named Thunderhead in its “Cool Vendors in CRM communications 2010” report.
